How do we obtain our marriage license?

A marriage license is necessary to ensure your union is legal! You will need to obtain your license before the ceremony, and bring the license to the ceremony for completion.

As of April 2020, many offices offer online license application.

Can we write our own vows?

Yes! Your wedding celebration is the story of you as a couple. Your handwritten vows can be an integral part. There are many options for traditional vows to use as a reference, and I can help to guide your ideas.

Do you perform LGBTQ+ weddings?

YES. Happily, openly, joyfully, and whole-heartedly. Let’s strive for world where couples do not have to consider this question when planning their celebration.

What is the ceremony planning process?

We can schedule a short call so I can introduce myself to you and answer any questions you have. Once hired, I will send you a questionnaire to craft a ceremony that feels right for you. We will connect again before the ceremony to clarify responses and confirm details. I’m generally available for questions throughout the process, and flexible about changes.

On the day of, I will arrive early to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Who are you ordained by?

I am a non-denominational minister ordained through the Universal Life Church, which is based in Modesto, California.

How long is a typical ceremony?

Ceremonies are usually between 15-30 minutes, depending on your preference and what you are including. It’s up to you! I emphasize personalization so no matter the length, it will rock.
